The trustee of environmental services firm Veolia’s DB schemes, has appointed Barnett Waddingham as scheme actuary.
Veolia’s two defined benefit schemes, the Veolia UK Pension plan and the Veolia Energy Provision Scheme, which collectively manage £1bn on behalf of 9000 members have appointed Robert Hawkes, partner at Barnett Waddinham as scheme actuaries, the trustee announced today.
Robert Hunt, chief corporate officer at Veolia and chair of the Trustee comments on the appointment: “Robert Hawkes and the team at Barnett Waddingham impressed us throughout the tender process and have settled quickly into the role. Their communication and consultancy skills have excelled from the outset, tailoring their approach to our needs.”
Veolia’s pension assets are currently managed by Schroders, which has been appointed as fiduciary manager in May last year.
