RPMI Railpen has appointed Anna Rule as head of property – a new role created as part of its in-house investment team expansion.
Rule (pictured) will join the £21bn scheme in the new year to develop its internal property investment capabilities and oversee relationships with external parties.
She previously worked at Aviva Investors where she was a senior director and fund manager responsible for mandates totalling £2.2bn comprising two segregated accounts. She was also responsible for Aviva Investors’ Pooled Pension Fund and launched two opportunity funds while at the manager.
Railpen investment director Richard Williams said: “I am delighted Anna is joining Railpen as head of property. Her appointment is an important step in further developing our in-house investment expertise so that we can strengthen our ability to deliver attractive investment returns for our members. Anna will be working closely with Orchard Street, Railpen’s longstanding partner for property investment.”
Rule added: “I am very happy to take up the new role of head of property at Railpen. It is one of the largest pension schemes in the UK and is well known for its innovative approach to investment. I look forward to becoming a part of the team.”
