Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI), one of eight local government pension scheme (LGPS) investment pools, has made a number of new strategic appointments.
Dev Jadeja has been promoted to deputy chief investment officer. In this new role, he will lead LPPI’s indirect investment activities across all asset classes, directing strategy for the pool’s multi-asset investment and whole scheme management approach.
Jadeja joined LPPI in 2020 as head of investment due diligence and moved to head of external mangers a year later.
Louise Warden has also been promoted. She becomes head of real estate and indirect infrastructure.
Warden, previously head of real estate, has been with LPPI for more than five years and will now be responsible for co-ordination and strategy for the firm’s real estate and infrastructure investment pooling vehicles.
In addition, LPPI has made several key internal promotions in its investment team.
Lee Belfield has been promoted to investment director of direct infrastructure; Julia Carter to portfolio manager in the same department; with William Edwards joined in January as deputy portfolio manager.
Also joining the team is Annabel Bates as senior analyst for infrastructure.
Chris Rule, chief executive officer at LPPI, said: “Louise and Dev bring extensive knowledge and leadership abilities to their new roles, and we know they will have a positive impact on the shaping of our business strategy and the assets we manage on behalf of our LGPS clients.”
Rule added: “The LGPS is on the cusp of generational change and we are well-prepared to respond to the opportunities and challenges that presents.”
