The trustees of the £100m Interface Europe Pension Scheme have appointed KPMG to provide a full range of trustee services including actuarial and investment consulting, administration, treasury and payroll services.
The appointment sees KPMG replace Mercer who worked with the scheme in a similar full trustee services capacity for more than 20 years.
Scheme sponsor Interface is the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of carpet tiles. Its scheme, which is now closed to future accrual, has around £100m of assets and 1400 members.
Scheme trustee Simon Carlton said: “Changing adviser after being with the previous incumbent for over two decades was a big decision for us. We have been impressed with the quality of advice and service that KPMG has provided in the past and we know we will get a very high quality service going forward.
“KPMG has shown it can offer a seamless approach across its administration, actuarial and investment teams, which is something the trustee was keen to achieve. We look forward to working with KPMG for a long time to come.”
KPMG partner and head of pensions for the North East Ian Warman said: “We are committed to continue growing our trustee services business and this appointment demonstrates the quality that we provide across the full spectrum of trustee services. What is particularly pleasing is that we have worked with Interface on several projects over the last 10 years and our appointment has come as a result of the track record we have established. We look forward to working with Interface in the future.”
