In her new role, she will be contributing to the investment decisions for Harrow’s pension fund, which as of March 2021 had £968m in assets and is part of London CIV. About half of the fund’s portfolio is invested in equities, including an 8% allocation to emerging market stocks. The fund has also a 7.5% target allocation to infrastructure.
Tobun joins Harrow from Enfield, where she has spent more than three years as finance manager covering Pensions and Treasury for the North London Borough. As part of that role, she oversaw and directed the management of the council’s pension investment strategy of £1.5bn assets and treasury strategy of some £50m of investment portfolio and over £900m of borrowing portfolio.
Prior to that, she spent five years as Investments and Treasury manager for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. She has also worked as an independent business consultant and spent 7 years at the London Borough of Lewisham Pension Fund.
