AI: Intelligent investing?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is set to change our world. It promises to make our lives more efficient and productive. It could also be employed to solve complex problems and potentially make scientific breakthroughs.
But there are concerns. It could wipe out jobs as greater automation takes hold in some industries. Then there is the doomsday scenario of the machines rising up to oppress us.
Either way, if AI is designed to improve several areas of our lives could it make us better investors. Our cover story in June looks at what benefits AI could bring to institutional investors and how they should use it.
This edition also includes features on private equity, collective defined contribution (CDC) schemes, the energy transition and a look at what the changing geopolitical scene could mean for the investment strategies of pension schemes and insurers.
We also speak to the head of investment at the TfL Pension Fund about how the scheme is investing while Border to Coast discusses the real impact it is making.
