Catherine Claydon is set to join the board of trustees for the BBC Pension Trust as one of three independent trustees.
Claydon currently holds non-executive roles with the new British Steel Pension Scheme, Dunedin Income Growth Investment Trust and Barclays UK Retirement Fund.
Prior to that, she was among others included deputy chair of the BT Pension Scheme Trustees Limited, independent member of the Unilever UK Pension Fund Investment Committee and non-executive directors at both the London Metal Exchange Limited and Hermes Fund Managers Ltd.
Overall, she has more than 20 years’ experience in investment banking, with 15 years spent at Goldman Sachs, and more recently as managing director in the Pension Advisory Group.
She is now set to become chair of the BBC Pension Trust, subject to board approval, when current chair Bill Matthews steps down in December 2018 after seven years in the role.
