The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has promoted David Taylor to the board as an executive director.
Taylor (pictured), who assumes the new title of general counsel, joined the PPF in 2005 as a senior lawyer before becoming head of legal in 2007 and director of strategy and legal affairs in 2012.
He will remain responsible for developing PPF strategy and managing the legal, policy and levy teams.
PPF chairman Barbara Judge, said: “David joins the board at a very important time in the PPF’s development. While we have remained financially resilient and on track toward our 2030 funding target, there continue to be significant risks to our success. I and fellow board members need to continue to navigate the lifeboat carefully and David will bring new insights to that task.
“David brings a proven record of success at the PPF to the board, most recently steering the changes to the levy to their conclusion. His understanding of the PPF legal framework and our strategic challenges, borne out in his contribution over the first 10 years of the PPF, are particularly valuable as we look to the years ahead.”
